A graduate from The Culinary Institute of America, Robert has 20 years of experience leading food and beverage departments for private clubs, including The Country Club in Chestnut Hill, MA, and The Bohemian Club in San Francisco, CA. His leadership in start-up roles includes nine years of success leading The Bohemian Grove located in Monte Rio, CA. At a youthful age Robert set out to become the 76th Certified Master Chef in the United States of America. Continuing his quest for knowledge, he found himself immersed in wine education, becoming one of 665 individuals to be awarded the Diploma level award for wine education in the U.S., which is just one level below Master of Wine. When his career was culinary-focused, he served on America’s Culinary Olympic Team from 1992-1996. His teams were awarded world champions in America and Europe.

Before amassing his impressive leadership roles in some of the country’s finest private clubs, Robert was known for his stewardship role creating great culinary programs. Robert is known for his significant contributions to his beloved industry including his involvement with Forever Oceans, Monterey Bay Aquariums, Cooking for Solutions program, U.S. Ambassador for Electrolux USA, authoring wine articles for Club + Resort Chef, stage presentations for numerous affiliations and creative content consultant for the Chilean Salmon Council. Robert resides in Monterey, CA, with his partner Leah and son Mason.
